PERSONAL INJURY
The firm devotes a large part of its professional and support staff to our personal injury department. A partner and two associates with over fifty years of experience, as well as several paralegals, investigators, and a staff of knowledgeable and professional secretaries provide in-depth attention to our many personal injury clients.
The firm has extensive experience in all types of injury cases, including job related accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle cases, product liability, federal employers liability, and medical malpractice. We provide professional help and representation in the difficult task of obtaining medical and financial no-fault benefits to accident victims from their auto insurance companies. We have obtained judgments and settlements for clients who have sustained injuries, pain and suffering and disabilities in total amounts exceeding 50 Million Dollars.
WORKER'S COMPENSATION
The firm represents clients who have been injured at work and in the course of employment so they may obtain both medical benefits, reimbursement for loss of earnings, and an award for scheduled losses.
GENERAL PRACTICE
RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
The Firm Handles a wide variety of real estate transactions, from the sale or purchase of a one-family residence to the acquisition or disposition of large residential and commercial parcels. When acquiring a business, we also provide advice concerning the proper entity to purchase the real estate and the creation of a separate entity to operate the business for that real estate.
WILLS, TRUSTS, ESTATE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION
The firm prepares and advises on all types of wills, from a simple will between a husband and a wife to complicated wills and estate plans drafted to minimize the tax on assets passed down to the next generation. We also prepare and advise on “Living Trusts” designed to avoid the probate process.
The firm handles all phases of estate administration, including the probate and administration of estates, the transferring of assets from decedents to heirs, and the creation and administration of both revocable and irrevocable inter vivos (living) and testamentary (after death) trusts. We are also experienced in estate litigation.
BANKRUPTCY
The firm assists clients in all phases of personal bankruptcy filings including, finding authorized credit counselors, completing "means test", preparation and filing of bankruptcy petition, appearing at meeting of creditors and finding authorized financial management programs.
ELDER LAW
The firm has knowledge and understanding of all aspects of problems currently faced by senior citizens, including Medicaid eligibility problems, lifetime transfers of property and reverse mortgages.

The firm represents clients in all criminal matters from local traffic courts and relatively minor criminal offenses, to the most serious felonies.
MATRIMONIAL AND FAMILY LAW
The Firm represent individuals in both contested and uncontested divorces, separations, and annulments, as well as in adoption and guardianship petitions. The firm also handles post-judgment problems such as custody, visitation and child support matters.
EMPLOYMENT LAW
The firm handles all aspects of labor and employment litigation, from drafting employment contracts and employee handbooks, to representation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, State and Federal Court on claims of harassment or wrongful discharge based upon age, race, sex, color, creed, national origin, disability, handicap, pregnancy, veteran status or any other protected class.
LABOR LAW
The firm also devotes a large part of its professional and support staff to our labor law practice. The firm is general counsel to numerous major labor unions in both the public and private sectors. The firm has assisted its various union clients in obtaining and maintaining collective bargaining agreements that lead their respective industries in both wages and benefits. Representation in this area includes negotiating collective bargaining agreements (including mediation, fact-finding and interest arbitration), grievance arbitrations, disciplinary arbitrations, Civil Service Law hearings, representation before Public Employees’ Relations Board and National Labor Relations Board, organizing representation drives, and representation in internal union issues including By-Laws and duty of fair representation complaints.
RETIREMENT AND SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY
The firm represents individuals who are permanently disabled, due to both work related and non-work related injuries, in applying for retirement disability and social security disability benefits. We also represent individuals at appeal hearings if these benefits are denied to them.
